When the Tripods Came starts out the Tripod trilogy. Interestingly enough, it centers a lot around the mass hypnotism by a television broadcast show called the Trippy Show. Whats more scary... the alien force come to enslave the minds of humans, or the human broadcast technology that has nearly the same effect?
